Actors Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman list two-bedroom condo in Los Angeles’ Encino area for $750K

Husband-and-wife actors Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman have listed a two-bedroom, 1,837-square-foot condo unit in Los Angeles’ Encino area for $750,000.

Hats off to our friends over at the Real Estalker for breaking the story the other day of the DeVito/Perlman listing of the condo, which is at 4774 Park Encino Lane in Encino. We also referenced their ownership of this condo in our post from January 29, 2007, which was about the couple’s listing last year of their 14,579-square-foot mansion in Beverly Hills. That mansion, at 1028 Ridgedale Drive, remains on the market for $31,900,000.

Like our friends at the Real Estalker, we also currently have no clue what Danny and Rhea have used this condo for since buying it in 1998 for $350,000, according to public records (the listing agent wouldn’t tell us when we called him this morning). However, the Real Estalker’s guesses (for offspring, for investment, or for a staff member whose compensation included housing) are as good as any. Now, however, the diminutive couple is seeking to unload the penthouse unit, which has two baths and a sun-filled living room with cathedral ceilings and clerestory windows, according to listing information. Other features include a large eat-in kitchen with a laundry room, a master suite with a walk-in closet and bath, clerestory windows in the master bedroom, and balconies, according to listing information.

Interestingly, DeVito and Perlman aren’t the only celebrities with ties to the building. Comedian Jon Lovitz’s family has owned a 2,627-square-foot unit on the same level since 1999, according to public records.
