Public records have cleared on the sale price that Tom Arnold recently fetched for his 4,211-square-foot house in Los Angeles' Tarzana neighborhood, and they reveal that the actor reaped just $1,800,000 for the house -- well below its $2,275,000 asking price, and even below the amount that Tom paid for the house in late 2006. In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the amount that Arnold (shown here with comedian Andy Dick) received for the sale of the house, which is at 4704 Caritina Drive in Tarzana. We exclusively had written on July 21 about the July 1 closing on the house to buyers who are not celebrities. And we also had broken the story on January 12, 2007 of Arnold having purchased the house, which once was owned by 'American Idol' judge Randy Jackson.  Now, we can report that Arnold just got even less for the house than the $1,950,000 amount that he paid for it back in late 2006. Built in 1956, the house has four baths, a gourmet kitchen with granite countertops and a master suite with a fireplace and cathedral ceilings, according to public records and listing information. Outside on the almost exactly half-acre, flat property are park-like grounds, a fountain and a pool, according to public records and listing information. Arnold previously had owned the 7,646-square-foot house at 14046 Aubrey Road in the Mulholland Estates area of the Beverly Hills, Calif. post office (BHPO), which he had quietly sold in late 2006 for $7,400,000 to something called the Aubrey Trust, according to public records. (We're not sure if that buyer was a celebrity or not.) In 1998, Arnold had purchased that house on Aubrey from 'American Idol' judge Paula Abdul's Happy Feet Trust for $2.3 million. It's not yet clear where Arnold has moved. When we find out, we'll of course provide that information here.
