Actor Timothy Busfield lists his three-bedroom, 2,396-square-foot house near Malibu, CA for $1.995M
Actor Timothy Busfield has placed his three-bedroom, 2,396-square-foot house near Malibu, Calif. on the market for $1,995,000.
The Los Angeles Times’ Ann Brenoff broke the story on Wednesday of the former “thirtysomething”/”West Wing”/”Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” actor’s listing of the house north of Malibu, which officially came on the market on Tuesday. The listing is so new that no photos of the house are yet available in the multiple listing service.
Built in 1980, Busfield’s multi-level wood and glass house has three baths, vaulted ceilings, blonde maple wood floors, custom cabinetry, a sunken living room, and a professional grade kitchen, according to public records and listing information. Outdoor features on the 1.19-acre, gated property, which is located behind the Saddle Peak Gates (north of Piuma Road), include ocean and mountain views and wraparound decks, according to listing information.
Records show that Busfield purchased the house in 2003 for $1,250,000, according to public records. We assume that the house is being sold as part of a divorce action; Busfield and his wife, Jennifer Merwin Busfield, currently are in the process of getting a divorce.
Once we find out where Busfield is moving, we’ll of course report it here. And we’ll also keep you posted on if Busfield is able to sell this house for anywhere near his asking price. Stay tuned.
