Actor Rupert Everett has listed his two-bedroom, 1,350-square-foot condominium unit on Miami's South Beach for $1,150,000.

The Miami Herald broke the story on January 27 of Everett's listing. Then, the Wall Street Journal on Friday reported on Everett's listing of the pied-a-terre, which is located on the seventh floor of the building at 200 Ocean Drive in Miami. Through the name of well-known, financial manager-to-the-stars Joseph D'Onofrio and through a trust named the Cruz Trust, Everett paid $670,000 in September 2004 for the unit, according to public records.

Features in Everett's apartment include two baths, a 500-square-foot balcony, terrazzo floors and an ocean view, the Journal reported. Everett also has renovated the kitchen and bathrooms since buying the unit, the paper reported.

We were unable to find a current listing for the unit, but we did find an older listing for the unit -- from a different Realtor -- in which Everett actually had asked $1,290,000 for the unit. Some of the photos above are taken from that listing. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to construct the hypothesis that Everett's unit probably was first through a different Realtor for $1,290,000, and then languished on the market, prompting (and we're assuming here) Everett to switch agents. His new agents probably figured that the media coverage of Everett's heretofore-unknown ownership of the unit would be terrific free advertising.
