Actor Patrick Dempsey has placed his four-bedroom, New England traditional-style house in Los Angeles’ Bel-Air area on the market for $3,595,000.
The Real Estalker wrote on Saturday about Dempsey’s listing of the 3,841-square-foot house, which hit the market on Friday. We actually were the first celebrity real estate gossip ever to provide details about Dempsey’s house, back in our July 2007 post, where we speculated about “McDreamy’s” ownership of the house. We’d have to give an assist to our readers on that post, though; although their comments from that time were wiped out during last year’s hack attack, multiple readers wrote in and confirmed Dempsey’s ownership of the Chantilly Road house, which was just the third posting ever in our long-running and popular “Which celebrity’s house is this?” feature.
Built in 1952, Dempsey’s house has five and a half baths, a large living room with a fireplace, a large master suite, a formal dining room, and a chef’s kitchen that opens to a family room, according to public records and the minimal text in listing information. Outdoor features on the almost exactly 1-acre (43,431-square-foot) property include a pool, a treehouse and lots of flat lawn, according to listing information. As you can see, no interior photos are available in listing information.
Records show that Dempsey’s trust purchased the property for $3,100,000 in 2006, as we wrote in our July 2007 post. Where Dempsey (shown here with his co-star Kate Walsh) now is off to is anyone’s guess — probably someplace much nicer (for all we know, Dempsey already has bought a much bigger house). We will keep you posted as we learn more.

I have lived and worked in “Over Priced” Beverly Hills for a few years. A wise investment buy property miles away from Los Angeles,Calif ..then build a residence. With foreign investors from the Middle east,China and other non-speaking “English” countries. They fly over buy up real estate,,tear down then flip it for a profit.,,Hollywood isnt what it used to be when I first stepped into this former glitz city. Change is apparent ..but is this really the United States anymore or China? Saudi Arabia?…
