Actor Monte Markham has placed his four-bedroom house in Malibu, Calif. on the market for $1,129,000.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the listing of the 73-year-old character actor and longtime guest star's 1,508-square-foot house, which hit the market on Saturday, May 2. Markham probably is best known in the entertainment world for playing Perry Mason in a short-lived revival of Mason in a series in 1973-1974 and for playing Captain Don Thorpe on "Baywatch." Markham also is a very recognizable face, however, for having made guest appearances on literally dozens of TV series over the years.
Built in 1971, Markham's house has two baths, high-pitched wood-beamed ceilings, a screened-in patio, a large master suite with a fireplace, and an open floor plan with well-proportioned rooms, according to public records and listing information. Outdoor features on Markham's 0.18-acre property (which consists of a 5,197-square-foot parcel that the house sits on, plus an adjacent, vacant 2,640-square-foot tract) include a grass yard, an oversized garage and workshop area, and mountain and canyon views, according to public records and listing information.
Markham has owned the property since 1986, according to public records. No photos of the house have come available yet with the listing.
Markham is moving out of state, according to listing information. If he is able to sell it, we'll of course provide his selling price -- and where he's off to -- right here. Stay tuned.
