Actor Matthew Rhys pays $1.263 million for a 1,321-square-foot house in Los Angeles, near the Melrose Shopping District

Actor Matthew Rhys has paid $1,262,500 for a one-story, 1,321-square-foot villa-style house in Los Angeles, near the Melrose Shopping District.

In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the Welsh actor’s purchase of the house on North Curson Avenue, which closed on April 11, according to public records. The deal was recorded on May 9, according to public records.

Rhys (pictured here on the London stage with actress Kathleen Turner) is best known for playing the gay lawyer brother on ABC’s program “Brothers and Sisters.”

Built in 1924, the three-bedroom house that Rhys just purchased sits on a 0.15-acre lot, according to public records. Features include a chef’s kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a farmhouse sink and tiles, according to listing information. Other features include dark wood floors, a wooden deck, a gated driveway and a detached two-car garage, according to listing information.
