Actor Justin Long, who stars as a Mac computer in a popular series of TV ads and who appeared in 'Live Free or Die Hard' earlier this year, has paid about $1,400,000 for a 1,334-square-foot, remodeled mid-century modern-style house in Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills.

In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the purchase by Long, 29. The actor, who is pictured with his current girlfriend, Drew Barrymore, closed on the purchase on April 4, with the deal being recorded on May 1, according to public records. Shortly after buying the house, Long transferred the ownership to his Moose Investors Revocable Trust, according to public records.

Built in 1948, Long's new house has two bedrooms and two full baths, according to listing information (public records still show just one bath). The house, which is on the same street as a Mediterranean-style house that once belonged to actor Danny Bonaduce, sits on a 0.24-acre lot, according to public records. Other features include fingerprint entry, touch-screen controls in every room, a high-tech security system, an outdoor plasma, and a flat back yard with a pool, decking, grass, citrus trees, and all-day sun, according to listing information.

Long's new house had been listed by its seller for $1,475,000. Public records still don't show the final purchase price by Long, so we can only speculate that he paid in the $1,350,000-$1,450,000 range. Of course, it's also possible that he paid full price; despite the soft housing market nationally, we continue to see many examples of that going on among celebrities in L.A.
