Actor Justin Berfield pays $1.45M for a house in Los Angeles’ Venice area

Actor Justin Berfield has paid $1,450,000 for a newly built, three-bedroom house in Los Angeles’ Venice area.

In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the latest real-estate purchase by Berfield, which closed on March 21 but which wasn’t recorded until May 19. Records show that Berfield (shown here with a friend) purchased the house in Venice through his trust.

Features in the three-level house in Venice include two and half baths, split-level polished cement floors in the living-dining area and in the powder room, an all-stainless Bosch kitchen with custom kitchen cabinetry, and a floor-to-ceiling sliding glass wall that opens to the front patio on the main level, according to listing information. Other features include oak floors and two large bedrooms on the second level, and a master suite with a gull-wing ceiling, two walk-in closets, a large bath with a spa shower, and a private deck that looks out on the street, according to listing information. The house also has Ann Sacks tiles and Cifial faucets in all bathrooms, and outdoor patios, according to listing information.

The house in Venice had been listed for $1,475,000.

As far as we can tell, this is the first real-estate transaction involving Berfield that has not involved another celebrity. Berfield’s other transactions over the years:

–Berfield paid $1,215,000 in March 2004 through his trust to purchase the 3,282-square-foot house at 11655 Laurelcrest Drive in Los Angeles’ Studio City area from actress Jaime Pressly. The actor quietly sold 11655 Laurelcrest in November 2006 for $1,424,000 to someone who is not a celebrity, according to public records.

–Berfield paid $3,400,000 in January 2006 through his trust to purchase the 6,483-square-foot house at 24944 Lorena Drive in Calabasas, Calif. from Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson. He continues to own that house to this day.
