The Los Angeles Times’ Lauren Beale wrote on August 3 about Simmons’ new asking price in his on-again, off-again listing for his house. We originally broke the story of Simmons’ listing of the 4,190-square-foot house, back in October 2008.

The house is located on a private street and is just next door to the 4,014-square-foot house that Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger purchased from MTV’er Daisy Fuentes in 2006 for $2,165,000.

Built in 1999, Simmons’ house has four and a half baths, an open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, three fireplaces and a customized three-car garage, according to public records and listing information. Outdoor features on the 0.63-acre (27,499-square-foot) lot include a flat yard and plans for an extensive pool/deck/spa area, according to public records and listing information.

Simmons is a face you’ve seen in myriad places, including in movies like “Juno,” “Burn After Reading,” the “Spider-Man” series and “Rendition” and series like “Oz” and “Law & Order,” purchased the house in April 2003 for $1,450,000, according to public records.

We have no idea where Simmons and wife Michelle Schumacher are off to, but when we find out, we’ll of course provide that information here.
